Love the info bro. I put out allot of videos and I need to get the count up. I usually share it on social media, mailing list etc.. However, i think the audience is not connecting with the message. Any suggestions for my videos? Intro’s, call to action?

My hold back on using YouTube for church is that they seem to always put offensive content/videos on the same page as Christian videos. Example: I watched Lifehouse’s Everything Skit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyheJ480LYA) with my daughters, and just under it in recommended videos, they had “Justin Timberlake GROPES Mila Kunis.” What’s up with that? Seems like YouTube purposefully puts this crap in our face. How can I send people that attend my church to YouTube when that happens? I want to, but have a hard time feeling good about that. I’d love to heart your comments/suggestions.

  I plan on answering this in a video soon but the short answer is…
  
  1. YouTube is free… so upload your videos there. Then embed single videos and playlists on your website and “turn off” the recommended videos when embedding.
  2. Then only direct your church traffic (and people you know) to your website.
  3. If new traffic “discovers” your content on YouTube… AWESOME! It should lead them back to your website. But your main community will watch the content on your website and not be bothered by “sketchy” recommended videos.
  
  Therefore you and protecting your community on the one had but also using your content as an outreach strategy.

  If you are using Youtube and don’t want those related videos to show up on your own website you can use ?rel=”0″ after the youtube link and that will stop related content from being shown.
